Architectural and archaeological Heritage

Celtic tribes lived here well before the Roman era. They have left a few archaeological sites as have the Romans after them.

Celtic sites and Roman villas are the most ancient of our archaeological heritage but Romanesque churches (11th and 12th c) are relatively numerous even if our main architectural heritage dates back to the 17th c. or 19th c.
